Former Wa Central Constituency Chairman for the NPP has said he did his best for the party while serving as constituency chairman.
He stated that he has left the chairmanship position with his head held high base on rewarding the grassroots in recognition of their contributions to the party.
Speaking on Home Radio, Ali Kamara indicated that he was selfless as constituency chairman and cared about the plight of the members of the party.
Irrespective of the the ups and downs, he touted his achievements and insisted that he is proud of his contributions to his party.
Speaking on his defeat as the Constituency Chairman, Ali Kamara noted that he knew he would lose the election base on the posture of some delegates ahead of the election.
“I told my supporters at some point that I will lose the election but I never wanted to leave them at the crossroads. That notwithstanding, I urged them not to be discouraged. I am not saddened for my defeat but for my supporters who supported me throughout the period. I never believed my own people will see my picture on the ballot and vote against me.” Ali Kamara stated.
According to him, it pained him when some falsehood were peddled against him in the lead up to the election saying “ I was disturbed because of the kind of things said against me ahead of the election.”
”I was told in Chegli while on a campaign trail with Issahaku Tahiru that Hajia Humu claim I demanded 200K from her before pledging my support for her. I told them is a palpable lie and urged them to disregard it.”
He therefore urged for such allegation to be substantiated in public for the truth to prevail.
He called on the appointees in the region to remain committed to the core values of the party and uphold the true principles that projects the general good and will of the members of the party.
After 12 years of been the Wa Central Constituency Chairman, Ali Kamara was dethroned by former constituency secretary, Osman Hamid.
