I was shocked when Annor Walker Called me to Join Great Olympics – Iddrisu Murad

Budding Accra Great Olympics Ghanaian midfielder, Iddrisu Murad said he was shocked when the head coach of the club called him to play for him.

He said ” when I received a call from Annor Walker that he wants me to play for him, I was shocked.

He called me personally and I was shocked how he had my contact but I was happy he had it, as things concluded with me signing for the club” – Iddrissu Murad.

The 19-year-old from Wa made 7 appearances for the “dade” boys in the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League season.

Speaking to Home Sports he revealed he hopes for more playing time in the upcoming 2022/2023 season.

“Last season was my debut season and I have some bit experience and I’m ready for more minutes in the upcoming season,” he said.

Like many other local-based players, Iddrisu Murad said he has the ambition of playing in the big European leagues shortly.

Iddrisu Murad was the Skipper of Upper West Regional Division 2 side, Future Stars and made only three (3) appearances in the league before switching to the Ghana Premier League side Accra Great Olympics.
