UWR: NPP Youth Wing Celebrates Eid-ul-Adha with Wa Central Prison Inmates
The Youth Wing of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) in the Upper West Region has celebrated this year’s Eid-ul Adha with Inmates at the Wa Central Prisons.
The Youth Wing led by the Regional Youth Organizer, Hamid Mohammed Saana as part of activities to mark the Eid celebrations visited the Prisons with packs of cooked food, assorted drinks and bottled water.
He was accompanied by popular NPP activist Baba Waala, Director of Operations at the Youth Secretariat, and his deputy Blackman Ramadan, Issah Haq head of programs and events and some members of the Youth Wing.
Speaking to the inmates, Hamid Mohammed Saana called on them to obey instructions from their caretakers in other to reform and integrate back into society when they are freed.
“We have come to celebrate with you, share with you to make sure you are not left out, this means a lot because anyone including the officers taking care of you can be in your situation.”
“But while you are here obey their instructions and I believe at the end of your sentence you will be welcomed back to our homes once again” – Hamid Mohammed Saana
The inmates expressed their appreciation with the NPP Youth Wing for coming to support them on such a special occasion.
