Mahama Fatawu alias DJ Tobile based in the Upper West Region has admonished colleague DJ’s to reduce bickering and invest in their careers.
He lambasted DJ’s who are busy fighting for supremacy while staying in rented houses.
In a Facebook post, he advised DJ’s in the region to emulate others elsewhere who are buying cars, building houses and establishing their own businesses while in the industry.
He made the comment in response to what he said was a blow to DJ’s in the region as some DJ’s couldn’t collaborate well with a visiting colleague due to insufficient machinery at the Kwesi Arthur Sallah shutdown last week.
The multi award winner wondered why some DJ’s talk about branding saying “let’s stop the cheap game and invest on our machines . I always laugh in pain when I see some of us talk about brand.”
There is a seeming animosity between DJ Anada and DJ Galaxy and Tobile urged them to stop the banter and focus on their career else they will be whipped in the open.
He also called on the younger DJ’s to learn and give maximum respect to the experienced ones instead of doing comparison between generations.
The battle for supremacy by DJ’s in the Upper West Region has never ceased to generate controversies.
The quest for every other DJ to be tagged the best in the region has rather become the Achilles heel of the industry.
