“We are going to prevent any implantation of terrorists in this country”- Akufo Addo

The country will be protected from any terrorist infiltration, according to His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo.
He demanded that in order to make it practicable, there should be cordial relationship between the security and the populace.
The president announced this on Sunday, 21st August, 2022 as he began his visit to the Upper West Region by meeting with the top officials from the security forces.
”We are going to prevent any implantation of terrorists in this country. You cannot do it by yourself, you need a cordial relationship with the civilian population. So that has to be an important part of your planning and thinking at all stages. How can you foster a good relationship with your civilian counterparts so that you can work together to protect us?” he indicated.
The president’s trip to the region is a part of his yearly tour throughout the nation, during which he seeks first-hand knowledge of the programs and policies that have been put in place.
The president will examine ongoing Agenda 111 projects in Lambusie, Issa, and Wechiau, inspect phase 2 of the Wa Youth Resource Center, cut sod for the dualization of Nandom roads, and commission the Kaleo Solar Power project during the two-day working visit.
