A security guard’s body that was thought to be missing was discovered in Napogbakolee, a suburb of Wa in the Upper West Regional.
On September 18, 2022, the police exhumed the body of Seidu Dakpuli from a shallow grave with some parts of the 49 year old missing.
Following people’ fears about their safety, the police have increased security in Wa and its surroundings in the Upper West Region.
The director general of operations, according to the police, has led the deployment of a special purpose investigation, intelligence teams with police visibility, and crime fight teams to Wa.
In order to aid investigations and identify those guilty for the killings and kidnappings, the Ghana Police Service has sent around 300 police personnel to Wa, the Upper West Regional Capital.
Last Friday, the youth organized a protest to demand action from the security forces.
