Lawyer Charles Lwanga Distances Himself From Jirapa Seat

Lawyer Charles Lwanga Puozuing has distanced himself from the Jirapa Parliamentary seat after playing poineering role in the election of Hon Seidu D. Cletus across the 2020 General Elections.

The legal practitioner and Regional Scribe for the opposition National Democratic Congress rubbished rumors circulating that he is set to contest the incumbent MP when the party opens Primaries across the country.

In an exclusive interview with Wa based Home Radio Network Limited, the Regional Secretary cited how he personally championed the Cletus project and that it would be wired for him to take the MP to the poll in the foreseeable future.

“I will not market a candidate and come back after four years to contest him. How will I go back to tell the very people I sold Dada Cletus to reject him and rather pick me? Those saying am nurturing myself from the secretary position to contest Dada Cletus are telling lies and propagating palpable falsehood”, Lawyer Charles told Ardil Fuseini of Home Radio Network.

Lawyer Charles Lwanga, who is a native of Jirapa Constituency, has been heavily linked with the Parliamentary seat despite his open intent not to battle it for now.

He is the incumbent Regional Secretary for the National Democratic Congress in the Upper West Region and is set to battle Nicodemus NB Derry for the upcoming Regional showdown.

A total of 485 delegates spanning constituency executives, party elders , former appointees and other eligible voters are expected to elect the new executives on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at the Wa Technical Institute auditorium.
