The Board Chairman of the National Sports Authority, Seth Panwum has said the agenda of breaking the 8 by the New Patriotic Party is a collective interest within the rank and file of the party.

Speaking on Sunrise Upper West on Home Radio, the former Wa All Stars General Manager said breaking the 8 will allow the NPP to consolidate the success chalked over the years.

“Considering the the good work of the party, it will not be good to hand over the country to a different group of people. It will be good to break the 8 and build on the policies implemented.” he stated.

Speaking on the internal elections of the party, Seth Panwum who presided over the election as the committee chairman urged the newly elected executives to run an all inclusive regime to stand a better chance of breaking the 8.

“The bigger picture is to elect a flag bearer who will be supported by all. The new executives should seek the support of their counterparts who lost the elections for a united front. The party will suffer if people who lost the elections decide to abandon the party.”

”Anybody who contested the elections is very important to breaking the 8. There is a multiply effect for the number of votes obtained by each candidate. The party should go into the 2024 election with a united front in order to win the support of floating voters” he stated.
