Access to potable water: DCE collaborates with Church to commission 3 boreholes in Wa West

The District Chief Executive for Wa West, Madam Vida Diorotey in collaboration with the Founder and Bishop of Calvary Redemption Church in Ghana have commissioned three boreholes in different communities in the Wa West District of the Upper West Region.

Two (2) of the Boreholes are located at Kuzie and Kachuia CHPS Compounds to support the facility’s water crisis, and one is in SoleKura Community.

In her address to the Chiefs and residents of the beneficiary communities, Madam Vida Diorotey lauded the Founder and Bishop of Calvary Redemption Church, Rev. Emmanuel Amoah for supporting the assembly to address water challenges in the area.

She claims that over the years, Rev. Emmanuel Amoah has worked with the assembly to drill seven boreholes throughout the district as part of initiatives to provide potable water to the people.

She stated that due to resource limitations, the assembly is prepared to work in conjunction with organizations to address the issues the district is facing.

She said that providing the district with potable water is a huge concern and that the new boreholes will augment those already present in the area.

She asked the Chiefs and residents of the beneficiary communities to adopt excellent maintenance habits to keep the boreholes operational.

For her part, the Wa West District Director of Ghana health services, Madam Cecilia Kakariba thanked the church for helping to provide water to some health facilities in the district.

She mentioned that, about 18 health facilities across the district have no access to water making health care delivery very difficult.

She however used this opportunity to appeal to the Founder Rev. Emmanuel Amoah to Extend his goodwill to the rest of the health facilities facing similar challenges for better health care delivery in the district.

The Founder and Bishop of Calvary Redemption Church – Ghana Rev. Emmanuel Amoah in his interaction with the Chiefs and residents of the beneficiary Communities, was very excited about the warming welcome and cooperation from the District Chief executive and her people in the District.

He asked the people to love Christ and pray God for more of such, and also promised to extend more projects to the people of Wa West through the effort of Almighty God.

The Chiefs and people of the recipient communities thanked Rev. Emmanuel Amoah for his assistance in ensuring that the people had access to clean drinking water.
