Wa West: Peter Lanchene Toobu solicits the support of traditional authorities

On Sunday, February 19, 2023, the Member of Parliament for Wa West Constituency, Hon. Peter Lanchene Toobu, made a request to traditional leaders asking for their support in his bid to run in the upcoming NDC Parliamentary primary elections.

The politician thanked the Chiefs in a brief encounter with them at Wechiau for their blessings and counsel is given to him as a member of parliament.

The politician claims that in order to improve people’s lives, he has implemented a number of interventions in the various sectors of the local economy.

On behalf of the Wechiau Naa, Gberengbeju Naa, Naa Iddrisu Sufugan Jongara commended the legislator for his work in helping the constituency grow.

Due to his accomplishments in just two years, he claimed that they could not afford to lose Peter Lanchene Toobu as the MP for the area.

Nonetheless, the Chiefs cautioned him and his supporters to concentrate on their principal objectives and to refrain from making derogatory remarks about their rivals during campaigns.

In order to help lower the rate of poverty among the citizens of the different communities within the district, they also urged him to expand development to deprived communities in the constituency.
