WA CENTRAL : HANDING OVER OF A COLD ROOM TO WA MUNICIPAL HEALTH DIRECTORATE

As part of his efforts to ensuring that the health needs of his constituents are adequately taken care of and in the true spirit of deepening the democratic principle of accountability, the Member of Parliament for Wa Central Constituency, Hon, Dr. Rashid Hassan Pelpuo has this morning handed over a Cold Room to the Wa Municipal Health Directorate for storage and preservation of delicate vaccines. The Cold Room with an office Complement which cost several thousands of Ghana Cedis is jointly funded by the Office of the MP with proceeds from his NHIS component of the MP’s Common Fund and the JACOB’s WELL APPEAL -UKAND.

It would be recalled that the MP in the recent past has funded similar health projects in his quest to serving the health needs of his people, among them include; fencing of Mangu Health Centre, rehabilitation of old Kumbiehi CHPS compound, rehabilitation of Yibile CHPS compound,  renovation and furnishing of the conference room for the Wa Municipal Health Directorate, donation of air conditioners to the Wa Municipal Health Directorate, Sponsoring of COVID-19 surveillance activities carried out by the Municipal Health Directorate among others.

In another development, he paid an official visit to the Military High Command of the Ten Mechanised Battalion at their Hippo base. The purpose of the visit was to encourage a positive, cordial and peaceful working relationship between the military and his office as well as with the general public.

The military high Command led by the second in Command, Major Nanjo outlined some of the plans and activities they are pursiuing to ensure ultimate security for the public in the Municipality. The Member of Parliament ceased the opportunity to thank the Military for their show of commitment to ensuring that calm was restored after the recent Military-Civilian impasse.

The engagement was fruitful and the MP assured the Military of his unflinching support to complementing their efforts to delivering on their mandate.
