NPP Decides: Language Specialist Osman Kundaribuo Liinat Confirms Candidature For Upper West Regional Secretary Position

Fast emerging youth advocate Osman Kundaribuo Liinat has confirmed her candidature for the upcoming Upper West Regional NPP Executive Elections to confirm initial rumors circulating on the social media space, Home Radio 99.7 FM exclusively reports.

The language specialist and a feminine advocate confirmed her interest in the Regional Secretary Position of the ruling NPP in what is expected to be a fierce battle on the ballot.

Known in the political space as Princess Lee, Liinat comes into the ballot as a language specialist (majoring in French) and is heavily revered within the files and ranks of the Elephant family both on the National and Regional realms.

In a communique issued ahead of the filing process, Princess Lee acknowledged the good work done by the incumbent executives but did not mince words in explaining her dream plans as a potential scribe. She officially launched the Princess Lee movement with some touching messages to follow.

Named among the new face of female politicians from the upper west region, Osman Kundaribuo Liinat played starring role for the Elephant family across the 2016 Elections and has since followed that with consistent presence in party events for the last 6 years.

The social media buzz and the message of acknowledgement from party bigwigs appeared to have made Princess Lee the obvious choice for the Party’s Regional Secretary position.

As a professional teacher, the Royal Politician left her mark on the political arena in a short time to the admirations of seasoned politicians on both end of the political divide.

Portion of her communique reads, “there is no iota of doubt that in the political history of our great party and region, a lot of successes have been accomplished. Our leaders, both current and past must be commended for their tireless, relentless and selfless efforts of carrying the party on their shoulders till date. However, one cannot take away the fact that, there is still a great deal of work which need to be done. This is the juncture I feel motivated to fill in as I seek to lead in the administrative position of the NPP in the Region”.

She then highlighted why she developed interest in the Secretary position with keen interest on rejuvenating the party and motivating the grass root voter of the party.

“It is about the time that the rank and file of the party in the region worked together to effect the desired change to enable us Break the Eight (8). A Regional Executive Board, with a vibrant, intelligent, vocal and inspiring secretary would undoubtedly work to fulfil its obligations and spur the party to wining more elections and parliamentary seats.

This is indeed the time to prove the uniqueness of the Upper West Region, as it would be the first time in our political history that the office of the Regional Secretariat is to be occupied by a woman. It certainly  will portray to the world the inclusiveness  of women in Ghana’s democratic process and thus reiterate the point that the NPP as a party is the only political party in Ghana that give equal opportunities to women and thereby enhancing women participation.

My tenure as Regional Secretary which will be unprecedented will set the pace for other women to strive to attain higher offices in our political and social structures. When I am being elected the Regional Secretary of the party, I shall work hand-in-hand with the Executive Committee to make sure the gains of the party are increased in the region”, Osman Liinat cited why she must be endorsed as the Regional Secretary of the Party.

The leadership of NPP in the Upper West Region will select a date from within May 27-30, 2022 for the Regional Executive Election with over 260 delegates tasked with the responsibility of selecting the next leaders of the Party.
