The Member of Parliament for the Wa East constituency, Dr. Godfred Seidu Jasaw, has provided metal dual desks to Balayiri, Kparisaga, and Bunaa schools in a commendable effort to enhance education and address critical infrastructure needs.
This initiative stems from the challenging learning conditions faced by school children in these communities, who, until now, have been compelled to study on bare floors.
Dr. Jasaw, who has been in office since 2021, has consistently championed educational support, having already supplied over 500 metal dual desks to various schools in the district.
In addition to his educational endeavors, Dr. Jasaw, along with the constituency chairman, secretary, and treasurer, conducted a thorough inspection of the ongoing rehabilitation efforts at the DUCCIE dam.
The dam suffered significant damage from recent floods, with portions of the embankment being washed away. The estimated cost of the dam’s restoration project is around 50,000 Ghanaian cedis.
This proactive approach became imperative after repeated appeals to the government, made through the District Chief Executive (DCE), failed to secure the needed reconstruction support for the dam.
Dr. Jasaw continues to utilize the limited resources at his disposal to make a positive impact in the Wa East constituency driven by a commitment to development.
