Volunteers from Wa Municipality’s Bilibugi Youth Fix Potholes on the Road

Bilibugi youth from the Wa Municipality in the Upper West Region have banded together to patch up potholes on the Wa-Nadowli-Hamile Road close to the Wadia Dam.

The youngsters stated they volunteered to help save lives on the road because the appalling condition of the potholes on this road has been leading to fatal accidents when they spoke to the Home Radio News crew on the spot.

They said that the Bilibugi area’s potholes were abandoned by the Wa Municipal Assembly and the urban roads authority and that numerous accidents are brought on by these dangerous roads.

They said they cannot stand by and watch while such a danger develops on the road, while the people in charge of resolving the issue appear uninterested.

The Municipality’s poor roads make driving difficult, which makes it difficult for citizens to engage in commercial activity.

Nevertheless, they bemoaned the risks posed by potholes on the roadways and urged the appropriate authorities to address the issue.
