 Massive Turnout in Bulenga as NDC Launches Wa East Constituency Campaign

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) witnessed an overwhelming turnout on August 17, 2024, as the party officially launched its campaign in the Wa East Constituency. The event, held in Bulenga, drew thousands of enthusiastic supporters, signalling strong grassroots backing for the party as the December 7th elections approach.

Dr Seidu Jasaw, the sitting Member of Parliament for Wa East, led the charge with a passionate speech that resonated deeply with the gathered crowd. He expressed confidence in both his re-election and the NDC’s prospects in the upcoming general election.

 

“Victory is within our reach, come December 7th,” Dr. Jasaw declared, amidst cheers from the supporters. He urged voters to rally behind the NDC and its presidential candidate, former President John Dramani Mahama, highlighting the party’s track record of development and its commitment to addressing the needs of the people.

 

Dr. Jasaw, who has been a vocal advocate for the agricultural sector, reaffirmed his dedication to supporting farming in the constituency. He promised to continue and expand initiatives that provide essential resources and assistance to local farmers, aiming to boost productivity and improve livelihoods inrural communitiess.

 

“The future of Wa East lies in the hands of our farmers, and I am committed to ensuring that they receive the support they need to thrive,” he said, drawing loud applause from the audience.

 

The campaign launch was marked by vibrant displays of party colours and chants of support for the NDC. The large turnout in Bulenga is seen as a significant show of strength for the party in the Wa East Constituency, where the competition is expected to be fierce.

 

As the campaign season heats up, Dr Jasaw and the NDC will continue to engage with constituents, emphasizing their vision for progress and calling on voters to place their trust in the party’s leadership.
