The apology, tendered by the Regional Minister during a visit to the Chief Imam on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, was in response to unspecified events that had caused unease among the Muslim community in the region. The press release, signed by Mr. Abdul Rahman Ibrahim, Executive Secretary of the Office of the Upper West Regional Chief Imam, highlighted the Minister’s humility and sincerity in issuing the apology without reservation. The Regional Chief Imam, alongside the Wa Metropolitan Chief Imam (Jaami Liman), the Council of Elders, sub-Imams, and the broader Muslim community, expressed their wholehearted acceptance of the gesture.
