Spend the holiday season with caution- Wa West DCE urges her people

Hon. Vida Diorotey, the District Chief Executive for Wa West, has asked residents of the District and others to exercise caution over the holiday season to stay safe.

Hon. Vida Diorotey made this known to Home Radio news crew in her office at Wechiau as part of her Christmas message to the people of Wa West District.

She mentioned that, Christmas celebration is about sharing with families, vulnerable people like orphanages and widows in the society to put smiles and hopes in their faces.

She cautioned Christians to be modest in their celebrations to make the period a memorable one.

“At this point of time wherever you are, or traveling to, be careful of bad people who would use this opportunity to cause trouble among people in this festive season,”she stated.

She also gave a word of caution to the youth in the district and region at large to desist from any negative behavior that will destroy their lives and future careers during and after the festive season.

She appealed to the people to practice social distancing in their communities, and gatherings to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and Cerebrospinal meningitis (CSM) during and after the celebration.
