On Monday, March 31, 2025, the Regional Police Commander, Deputy Commissioner of Police Mr. Nii Darko Offei Lomotey, led a delegation of officers to the Regional Hospital in Wa to check on robbery victims recovering from surgery. The visit, which took place at 2:00 pm, followed a surgical procedure performed on the victims the previous day, March 30, 2025.

The Commander and his team spent time engaging with the victims and their families, offering words of comfort and solidarity during their recovery. The gesture highlighted the Regional Command’s ongoing efforts to strengthen ties with the community while showing empathy and support to those affected by crime.

“This visit is a testament to our commitment to the people we serve,” a police spokesperson noted. “Beyond maintaining law and order, we aim to build trust and cooperation with the public, ensuring that every individual feels supported and valued.”

The robbery incident, which left the victims in need of urgent medical attention, has prompted the Regional Command to reaffirm its dedication to public safety. Authorities have pledged to continue working tirelessly to protect residents and prevent such incidents in the future.

The visit has been widely praised as a meaningful step toward fostering harmony between law enforcement and the community. Hospital staff and relatives of the victims expressed gratitude for the police’s compassion and proactive outreach, noting that it provided a sense of reassurance during a difficult time.

As the victims recover, the Regional Police Command remains focused on enhancing security measures across the region, while emphasizing the importance of partnership with the public in creating a safer environment for all.
