Dr. Ewurah S.K Mahama the District Chief Executive for Wa East, has admitted that he did not give the assembly members anything in exchange for their support in confirming him as DCE.

He claims that when the President proposed him for the job of Wa East DCE, the assembly members knew of his qualifications and did not hesitate to support him.

Speaking to Asprilla on Home Radio, he asserted that the Wa East Assembly is the most unified because they carry out their primary duties without regard to partisan politics.

Since the district is facing several difficulties that are limiting its growth, he claimed that the assembly members are passionate about the area’s development.

He emphasized his determination to address several basic issues that were impeding the district’s development while claiming that he was aware of the area’s development needs before he was appointed DCE.

The Wa East District faced numerous difficulties in the areas of agriculture, water and sanitation, education, and health, but the DCE was confident that things will get better.

“Wa East Assembly is the most cohesive assembly there is. Every plan for the area’s growth has the support of the assembly members. They are concerned about the district’s progress because we are lagging. Before being confirmed, I served as the presiding member of the assembly, and the members are familiar with my talents to address the difficulties facing the district. I didn’t pay anything for my vongirmstion.” he emphasized.

Dr. Ewurah Mahama claimed that in order to improve coordination, which is a requirement for progress, he has relocated all departments to Funsi, the district capital.
