MP For Wa Central Hon. Dr. Hassan Rashid Pelpuo Donates To Viral Kumbiehi Bakpong Bridge

Member of Parliament for Wa Central Constituency Hon Dr. Hassan Rashid Pelpuo has donated to the people of Wa Kumbiehi Bakpong to help complete their life threatening bridge.

The lawmaker paid a courtesy call on the community to have first hand experience of the bridge and donated an amount of GHC5000 to help complete the project.

The community members contributed their own resources to start the construction process and received a massive support from Hon Rashid Pelpuo to help complete the project.

The Bakpong bridge connects hundreds of commuters with Kumbiehi and Wa Municipality at large.

The viral bridge has since taken the life of four peoples because of heavy flood in the last five years.

When completed, it is expected to provide a linking platform for people from Wa Magazine and the Bakpong enclave.

Speaking to the community members, Hon Rashid Pelpuo thanked the video volunteers for pioneering the project and urged other members to emulate.

“It is a good initiative to have started this from your own plans. The government can’t solve all the problems at a time and it takes plans like these. These are the kind of projects that must be commended with dignity”, Hon Dr Rashid Pelpuo told Home Radio News.

The package from Hon Dr. Rashid Pelpuo is expected to help complete the project within the next few days.
