Open your Eyes to see our fixed roads – Roads Minister to fix the country campaigners

The sector Minister For Roads and Highways, Hon. Akwasi Amoako Atta has asked Ghanaians to “open their eyes widely “to see the roads been fixed in the country since 2017.

The Minister made the remarks at a groundbreaking ceremony held at Kpongu, a farming community in the Wa Municipality for the construction of a 670km roads network in Upper West Region.

The comments of the Minister comes at the back of widespread social media campaign for the Government of Ghana to fix the key sectors of the country to stimulate growth.

This has generated a hashtag which has being trending for weeks now across many social media platforms.

Campaigners of #fixTheCountry have highlighted the deplorable conditions of some major roads across the country calling on the Government to fix those roads

Hon. Akwasi Amoako -Atta has challenged them to appreciate the improvements made in the roads sector under the Presidency of H.E Nana Akufo Addo .

“The roads sector have been fixed since the assumption of power by H.E Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo, as far back at 2017.
And the roads sector continuous to be fixed robustly and extensively across the entire length and breadth of our nation “, the Minister said.

Hon. Akwasi Amoako Atta took a jab at the campaigners saying “ people should open their eyes widely and they would see how roads are being fixed in this nation “ .

He further asked Ghanaians to trust in the leadership of H.E Nana Akufo Addo to continue to deliver on successes achieved since 2017.
