The road is described by residents as extremely bad and life-threatening is within the Wa Municipality, and leads to the residence of MCE for Wa Municipal Assembly.

According to residents, they have received several promises from leaders of the political divide but nothing significant has been done other than reshaping the road in 2018.

“We the People of Danku, Jinkpang, Sing and Boli have suffered the dire consequences of bad road. While promises upon promises by those in authority over the years fix the road have yielded nothing, the hoping upon by we the people has become a hopeless hope”

Failure of recent and past promises has made their actions necessary, lamenting the backwards drive of their development agenda in, health, education, security, economy due to the deplorable state of the convener.

” Enough is enough, we can not sit idle for our road to keep killing us, destroying our businesses, reducing the life span of our vehicles, robbing us of income from farming and inflicting many serious health conditions on us” – Adams Yahaya Jiga, convener.

There are planning to hit the streets in protest of the roads if the government fails to address the problem with immediate effect.

” We have therefore resolved that the construction of the aforementioned road must resume and continue not later than 30th November 2021.
We also demand that the project be completed within a reasonable timeline. If work does not begin and continue on or before 30th November 2021.
We will be compelled to head to the call of our colleague campaigners for a series of major demonstrations” – Adams Yahaya Jiga.

The Wa Danko road has always been a major discussion for political parties as they make promises in search of votes, during the electioneering periods, considering the importance residents place on it to be worked on.

However, they have never been the same commitment after elections by various parties to fulfil their promise.

Meanwhile, philanthropic businessman Alhaj Ali Wonwaana and MP for Wa Central Dr Rashid Pelpuo, has supported some youth with gravel to spot fill some of the parts of the road which is in a deplorable state.
