UWR: Salma Mumin Foundation Pays Medical Bills of Needy Patients at Wa Regional Hospital

Popular Ghanaian movie star and CEO of Salma Mumin Foundation, Salma Mumin has paid off the medical bills of over 10 patients at some hospitals in Wa.

The patients were drawn from the Upper West Regional Hospital(3) and the Wa Municipal Hospital(8).

According to Salma Mumin, the gesture is part of activities to celebrate her birthday which happened on the 14th of December this year.

Salma Mumin reveals that she has since 2017 been donating back to society on her birthdays through the Salma Mumin Foundation.

“On my birthdays, to appreciate God, I usually donate to the less privileged. So due to that, I formed the foundation that can keep track and can also attract other people to come on board to support”- Salma Mumin

She added, “so I came from Accra to donate to the hospital I was born in, we are here to pay the bills of patients that are unable to pay or are not in the position of this life to take care of their bills”.

The administrator of the Wa Municipal Hospital, Mr Samson Abu thanked the Salma Foundation for their support and called others to emulate what they are doing to support the less privileged.
