Ghana Football Association Announces Training Workshop for Clubs on Registration Processes

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has issued a letter to the Chairman of the Upper West Regional Football Association, calling for a training workshop to be organized for clubs in the region.

The workshop aims to familiarize club representatives with the registration processes for the upcoming 2023/2024 season, particularly in light of the recent changes to the FIFA Connect system.

In a letter addressed to the Chairman, the GFA emphasized the importance of ensuring a successful registration process by providing clubs with the necessary knowledge and understanding of the updated procedures.

The workshop will also cover various essential aspects of the GFA Statutes and Regulations, as well as introduce attendees to the FIFA Clearing House and FIFA Legal Portal.

The training session is scheduled to take place on July 3, 2023, starting at 9:00 am, at a venue to be determined by the Upper West Regional Football Association.

The letter stressed the significance of selecting a convenient location that can accommodate the participating clubs.

During the workshop, several key topics will be addressed, including payment gateway options, the implementation of digital ID cards and QR codes, the functioning of the FIFA Clearing House, and the utilization of the FIFA Legal Portal.

These areas of focus aim to equip club representatives with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate the registration process effectively.

To ensure active participation, the GFA has requested that each club representative attending the workshop be IT-savvy and come prepared with a laptop and a modem for internet connectivity.

This requirement emphasizes the reliance on digital platforms and technology for streamlined registration processes.

The GFA expressed their gratitude for the Chairman’s cooperation and urged the Upper West Regional Football Association to continue their unwavering support.

The successful organization of this training workshop will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient registration period for clubs in the region.

The GFA encourages all club representatives to actively engage in the workshop and take advantage of the opportunity to clarify any queries or concerns they may have regarding the registration processes.

By staying informed and well-prepared, clubs can contribute to the overall growth and development of football in Ghana.

As the registration window opens, the GFA remains committed to providing the necessary guidance and support to all football clubs across the country.

Together, with effective collaboration and continuous learning, Ghana’s football community can thrive and achieve greater success in the upcoming season.

For further inquiries or additional information, club representatives are advised to reach out to the General Secretary of the GFA, Prosper Harrison Addo, Esq.
