Dr Rashid Pelpuo Chastises Nana Addo’s Government For Profligate Spending
The Member of Parliament for Wa Central Constituency, Hon Dr Rashid Hassan Pelpuo has chastised the Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo led administration for the poor management of the Ghanaian economy.
The maverick lawmaker made this known after the government’s Cabinet retreat at the Peduase lodge in Aburi, the Eastern Region of Ghana.
Dr. Rashid Hassan Pelpuo intimated that, there are three major economic issues making the Ghanaian economy very weak and scary.
Indiscipline in borrowing and spending, Corruption and poor economic planning are the three factors affecting the betterment and growth of the Ghanaian economy, according to the lawmaker.
Nothing good will come out of the cabinet retreat at peduase lodge if we do not find solution to these three cancerous concepts.
Taking a cursory look at the Ghanaian economy inflation, depreciation of the cedi, high fuel prices, wastage of government resources without appropriate development and excessive borrowing are beyond adjectival gymnastics.
On his social media handles, the lawmaker cited three items crippling the Ghanaian economy.
“Major issues in economic crisis:
1. indiscipline in borrowing and spending
2. Corruption
3. Poor planning”, Dr Rashid Pelpuo posted.
The Wa Central lawmaker recently earned some global fame on the award podium thanks to his love for peace.
Ghana is currently under economy managerial paralysis under the Nana Addo led government with unfriendly fuel prices and cost of living.
