The Alumni of Dr Hilla Linan Technical University in the Upper West Region has honored the Institutions first Vice Chancellor, professor Elias Nortaa Kunedeb Sowley.
He was honored at the occasion of his investiture and third congregation held on 7th May, 2022 at the forecourt of the institutions library complex.
The leadership of the Alumni led by its Chairman, Annaakaa Waris presented a portrait of his image to indicate their support to him.
The best graduating student was also honored with a citation for excelling amidst the myriad of challenges affecting teaching and learning.
In a statement released by the Alumni, graduands were charged to support the activities of the Alumni geared towards improving the institution.

Alumni Honours and Congratulates VC and Granduands at the Institution’s 3rd Congregation and Investiture of its first VC
The office of the Alumni headed by its abled, Chairman Annaakaa Waris, over the period partook in the Investiture of the Institution’s first Vice Chancellor, Professor Elias Nortaa Kunedeb Sowley and 3rd Congregation which event took place on the 7th of May 2022 at the forecourt of the Library Complex.
It was a pleasure and an honour to present to Professor Elias Nortaa Kunedeb Sowley a portrait of his image to keep us imbedded in his heart as he assumed office. The overall best graduating student was also honoured with a citation for working hard amidst all odds to attain that laurel.
The Entire Alumni Fraternity uses this medium to again congratulate the VC on his official assumption of office and promise to support him in all regards to see the success of his tenure in office.
To all granduands, congratulations to you on this successful milestone chalked, Completing well and strong hasn’t been an easy task if you were asked. There were many others you started with but couldn’t end with, all thanks to the Most High. As an association, we welcome you to the family meant for the growth of one other and also for our Alma mata. Our headquarters is based in Wa here and officially accommodated at the main administration block of the institution. We also have Regional Blocs which will survive greatly on your participation and involvement in all our activities. We seek to be very much visible and popular as colleagues of other institutions are. Programs like the Alumni reunion, Homecoming, fun games with other Alumni associations or with current students and other lively activities are on course to be rolled out, and so we solicit your outmost involvement and patronage.
In the Job and Corporate world which is the next life after school aside the quest for further studies immediately, we seek to share opportunities and openings that can help others take advantage of to find placements in the job market. That’s the spirit of our oneness.
