Jirapa : Regional Minister Donates Tricycle To Women’s Group
Upper West Regional Minister Dr Hafiz Bin Salih has donated a brand new tricycle to Yelpoe Women’s Group in Jirapa to aid their operation.
He made the donation after listening to an appeal from the group to support them with a tricycle to aid them in their activities.
Yelpoe Women’s Group is a farming group of women in the Jirapa municipality whose livelihood depends largely on farming.
The consist of women from different communities in the Jirapa District and are basically into peasant farming.
Speaking after the presentation, Hon Dr Hafiz Bin Salih opened his door for the citizenry anytime the need arises.
“My Doors are opened for discussions centered on empowerment of people and community development”, Hon Dr Hafiz Bin Salih told the Women’s group.
He urged the group to put the tricycle into proper use for the supreme interest of the group.
He also made some donations of 25 plastic chairs to the people of Jengbeyikori upon a request from the elders.
