The league board of the Upper West Regional Football Association has released an appreciation message to all stakeholders for their contribution towards a successful season.
Secretary to the league board, Naa Sulemani shared the statement on social media after the winner of the 2022 division two league was crowned in a coronation match.
The five months long league was fiercely contested by 22 clubs from Wa to Tumu which saw Danku Simple winners FC qualifying for division one league after series of protests in the middle league.
Kong Danger Stars FC, Power SC, Wa United FC, Biyad 77 Stars FC, Danku Simple Winners FC and Real 24 hours FC played the middle league as Danku Simple Winners FC went unbeaten to win the league.
Three clubs namely Power SC, Wa United FC and Biyad 77 Stars FC qualified to the preliminary stage of the MTN FA cup.

UWRFA D2L APPRECIATION MESSAGE
The Division Two League Board writes to express much appreciation to all the clubs that participated in the just ended D2L for their roles in their quest to annex the ultimate for the making the 2021/22 Division Two League season one to remember.
How can we say thank you without showing appreciation to the RFA Chairman and the entire EXCO membership of the Association for their support and timely interventions .
Additionally, we are most grateful to the Disciplinary Committee for their swift response in adjudicating litigations brought before them despite all the bottlenecks that obstructed them in the course of delivering their mandate.
The success story of the league season can not be told without dedicating a chapter of appreciation to the Referee’s Appointing authorities Mr Nuhu Liman and Mr. Duchibile Hamidu for their tirelessly effort in appointing the personnel for the various matches.
We owe much gratitude to RAG UW branch for the all the sacrifices put up despite the hell your members when through in the course of discharging their duties. We say Ayekoo and we will be looking forward working with your outfit for many seasons to come.
Last but the least , the League Board is grateful to Radio Progress, Home radio , Sungmaale FM , Info radio, Tunsung radio , WFM , Radio WAA, GBC-Wa and other media houses , without your unique roles , this much talked about D2L season would not chalk the enormous success it did.
We really appreciate all personalities and all the teeming fans who thronged to the various match centres to offer their unflinching support to their teams during match days, your relentless support brought alot of breath to the league.
To all our match coordinators we are most grateful for always bringing us up to speed during match days . We are cherished you all .
Congratulations once again to the ultimate winners Danku Simple Winners- deserved and merited winners. We wish them well.
