She pledged to tackle the university’s infrastructural deficits, recognizing the importance of a conducive environment in fostering academic excellence. Her leadership promises to prioritize the creation of a work culture that promotes research, teaching, and learning, as well as industrial collaborations and extension activities driven by technology.
Professor Darimani emphasized the importance of teamwork and collaboration, promising to work closely with her management team and other key stakeholders to drive the university forward. She also intends to increase the institution’s visibility on the global map, highlighting its strengths and achievements to a broader audience.
In a bid to foster collegiality and a sense of community, Professor Darimani plans to introduce recreational activities on campus. This initiative aims to promote a positive work environment and encourage interaction among staff and students.
The Vice Chancellor’s meetings with union leaders, deans, and directors were attended by key members of the university’s management team, including Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Baba Insah, Registrar Mr. Vitus Songotuah, and Director of Finance Mr. Musah Basig Diaboh.
