The chiefs and people of Daffiama Bussie Issa District have received good news relating to concerns about the poor state of the Doctor’s Bungalow at Issa Polyclinic. This good news comes to the people of DBI as the former DCE for the then Nadowli-Issa Constituency, Hon. Abu K.K., on Wednesday, 5th March 2026, cut sod for the construction of a two-bedroom Doctor’s Bungalow at Issa Polyclinic.
The deplorable condition of the existing bungalow at the Issa Polyclinic is not safe for doctors to stay in, and the absence of decent accommodation at the facility is something that affects healthcare delivery in the district, as medical personnel — particularly doctors — will not be able to stay in the community and serve the people.

Beyond the construction of the Doctor’s Bungalow, the honourable member also constructed and handed over a kindergarten for the staff of the Issa Polyclinic. This kindergarten is also aimed at relieving the burden on nurses and other staff — mostly parents — by providing a safe and accessible learning environment for their children, especially while they are at work.
The former DCE’s contributions are not limited to the health sector alone; he also donated 50 dual desks to Tabiasi E/A Primary School and has supported party activities across the Daffiama Bussie Issa District.
In a short speech before the sod-cutting and handover, Mr. Abu mentioned that all these projects are personally funded, and he assured that the Doctor’s Bungalow project will be completed within six months and handed over for use. He also acknowledged the contributions of other individuals in the district and called on all sons and daughters across the Daffiama Bussie Issa District to come together and support the developmental growth of the district.
The District Chief Executive for Daffiama Bussie Issa District, Hon. James Wor, who was present at the sod-cutting and handover, expressed his profound appreciation and gratitude on behalf of the DBI District Assembly to Mr. Abu K.K. for his timely intervention in constructing a befitting Doctor’s Bungalow at the Issa Polyclinic. He noted that this gesture has eased the financial burden on the Assembly, which had been struggling to secure resources to build a new bungalow for the doctor. He added that the old existing bungalow was poorly constructed under the previous administration and is currently not safe for use, despite several renovations and interventions by the Member of Parliament for the constituency and the District Assembly since he took office as DCE.
