Pupils of Zambogu DA primary school lie on their belies to learn, a situation which is hampering teaching and learning.
Zambogu is a community in the Nadowli/Kaleo district and the only school there has been suffering from this fate for long.
The school which comprise class one to six and Kindergarten have less than 10 tables and chairs.
The school is an eyesore and our sources revealed that it was captured as part of projects to be rehabilitated by the Northern Development Authority which is yet to be executed.
A visit to the facility by Home Radio News’s Albert Dapare revealed the sad situation in the era of free, equitable and accessible education for all.
However, the lack of furniture did not deter pupils from attending the school as the classrooms were filled to capacity at the time our reporter got there.
The situation needs urgent attention for the pupils to have quality education.
Meanwhile staff of the school are tight lipped on the issue.
