Hon. Prof. Titus K. Beyuo, Member of Parliament for Lambussie, has issued a heartfelt appeal for peace following a recent outbreak of ethnic violence between the Sisa-Dindee communities, which resulted in a tragic loss of life.

In a statement released today, Prof. Beyuo expressed grave concern over the incident and extended his condolences to the bereaved family, wishing them strength and comfort during this difficult time. He commended the efforts of the District Security Council (DISEC) in swiftly maintaining peace and urged them to enhance security measures to prevent further escalation.

The MP called on all parties to recommit to the peace-building process led by the Lambussie Traditional Council and supported by the Peace Council, emphasizing their vital role in restoring harmony and stability. He highlighted the district’s rich cultural diversity and tradition of peaceful coexistence, urging residents to preserve this heritage.

Prof. Beyuo identified poverty as a common enemy and called for unity to combat it, promoting life-transforming development for the community. The statement underscores a collective effort to heal and strengthen the Lambussie district.
