The Wa West member of Parliament Hon. Peter Toobu has called for collective efforts to support the upper West Regional Minister for the development of the region. He made this call when he was speaking on Home Radio Sunrise upper West supper morning show on Thursday April 10, 2025 in Wa Municipality of the Upper West region as part of their Regional MPs caucus tour to ascertain the progress and challenges in the various sectors within the region as the development of the Upper West is concerned.
The lawmaker expressed his profound gratitude to the President for nominating such a knowledgeable and visionary personality to spearhead the development and welfare of the people in the region.
He lauded the minister for his lobbying skills and humility nature to lead the good people in the region to bring development and jobs to enhance the livelihood and welfare of the people. Adding that, there is a need for togetherness to move the region ahead to support the government developmental agenda as promised for the good people of Ghanaians.
The lawmaker mentioned some challenges confronting the Wa University and the upper West Regional Hospital during their tour to these sectors, and others issues in the region. He assured that, the caucus will do everything possible to address some of these challenges confronting the region.
Hon. Lanchene also used the opportunity to congratulate all the MMDCES nominees by the President waiting for confirmation. He called on them to deliver after confirmation to avoid any termination of their nomination.
