Upper West RFA Honours Hon Dr Hafiz Bin Salih For His Historic Support To Regional Division II League
The Upper West Regional Football Association has honoured Hon Dr Hafiz Bin Salih for his historic support to the just ended regional division II league.
Hon Dr Hafiz Bin Salih supported the 2020/21 Upper West Regional Division II with 40 footballs, 29 sets of jerseys and a cash amount of GHC10,000.00 as his support to the growth of football in the region.
All second division clubs were each supported with a set of jersey and a football whiles the winners, first and second runners up took home an extra GHC5000, GHC3000 and GHC2000 respectively.
Regional FA Chairman, Alhaji DS Yahaya, in the company of his Executive Committee members, surprised the Regional Minister with a citation to show appreciation for the historic support offered.
The mini ceremony was witnessed by the upper west regional Coordinating Council members and members of the Press moments after a media briefing by the Minister.
Wa Yaasin FC shook off threats from Wa United FC to pick the ultimate division one league spot whiles Sombo Freedom and Wa Ziko Babies join the duo for the annual MTN FA Cup.
In addition to the mammoth support for the regional league, Hon Hafiz Bin Salih also pledged to support Wa Suntaa SC with with a cash amount of GHC10,000.00 ahead of the commencement of the national division one league.
