NDC Nadowli Kaleo Constituency Raises Red Flag On Political Machination Of Security Details Of Rt Speaker Alban SK Bagbin
The Nadowli Kaleo branch of opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has described the calculated attempt at stripping Rt Speaker Hon Alban SK Bagbin off his security details as political bigotry and an attempt to gag the vociferous politician.
In a powerful Press Conference staged in Sombo in the Nadowli Kaleo constituency, constituents and sympathizers of the Speaker of Parliament stormed the Press Conference to throw their weight behind any fight that will defend the Bagbin brand legitimately.
In a letter address to the office of the Speaker, HE Nana Addo Danquah, through the commander of the Ghana Armed Forces, withdrew four military officers attached to the Speaker of Parliament in the name of wrongful procedural attachment.
Responding to the fatal plot at stripping Hon Alban SK Bagbin off security cover, BT Sly, who is the constituency communication officer for NDC, cited the past and current officers enjoying heavy military security cover in a series of concepts raised.
According the Press Convener, the current disrespect shown by the sitting government can only be tagged to Political bigotry largely because the Speaker is a Northerner.
Excerpts of the Press cited beneficiaries of Article 71 holders and the need for adequate security cover to the Speaker as recommended by the Professor Yaa Ntiamoah Baido committee.
The Press convener also called on the Speaker to stay resolute and not succumb to any pressure by the sitting government to cage him for their nefarious intentions.
