The Upper West Regional Coordinating Council has procured 4000 streetlights to Municipal and District assemblies between December 2021 and March 2022.
This was revealed by the Upper West Regional Minister, De Hafiz Bin Salih in his opening address at the second general meeting of the Upper West House of Chiefs in Wa.
In his Facebook page, Dr Hafiz Bin Salih indicated that the street lights have been distributed to the beneficiary assemblies for installation.
“I delivered the opening address at the 2nd General Meeting of the Upper West House of Chiefs in Wa. I informed the house that between December 2021 and March 2022, the Regional Coordinating Council procured 4000 streetlights which have been distributed to Municipal and District Assemblies in the region for installation.”
He further told the house that water supply will be extended to communities in the Wa Municipality and adjoining communities.
“I informed the house that the Ghana Water Company is in the process of expanding the water supply system in Wa; water supply shall be extended to many communities in Wa Municipal and some communities in the adjoining districts.”
The Nandom Naa, Professor Nminyem Edmund Delle Chiir VIII was sworn in as a member of the house of chiefs.
