Isaac Dogboe will fight Joet Gonzalez in the World Boxing Organisation (WBO) title eliminator on Saturday.
The former WBO Junior Featherweight Champion is unbeaten in his last three bouts since suffering back-to-back defeat to Emmanuel Navarette.
Saturday’s winner could face Mexico’s Emmanuel Navarrete who currently holds the WBO feather title.
Isaac Dogboe has spoken of his intention to knock out his American opponent on Saturday.
“I was in a position to challenge for the title but it didn’t happen so I decided to get the mandatory shot by fighting Joet Gonzalez,”
“I will see if I can knock him out in seven rounds or win convincingly because the most important thing is to win.It must not always be about the knockout and I’m now enjoying my boxing,” he told Graphic Sports.
Meanwhile, Joet Gonzalez has 28 professional bouts and lost just twice.
He’s looking to add the Ghanaian opponent to his casualty list.
