Breaking News: Trade and Industry Minister Hon Alan Kyerematen Resigns

Ghana’s longest Trade and Industry Minister Hon John Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen has officially tendered in his resignation letter.

The season politician served as Trade and Minister under John Agyekum Kuffuor before his appointment into same office by HE Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo in January 2017.

Reliable sources close to Home Radio Network hinted that the industrial expert tendered in his resignation letter to the Presidency after several attempts to do so in the past.

It is not clear as to what prompted his resignation but initial sources have it that it is to allow him campaign for his political ascension ahead of the NPP Presidential Primaries.

As one of the front liners for the Presidential Primaries, Hon Alan Kyerematen is expected to intensify his campaign across the country ahead of the Primaries slated for August -September.

He has been accredited with the flagship One District One Factory initiative amongst the many policies aimed at improving industrialization in the country

The Presidency is expected to issue an official Statement on the resignation of the Trade and Industry Minister in the coming hours.
