The MP claims that the activity was done to find students whose vision issues may have hindered their academic performance in class.

Dr. Zakaria Alhassan Baluri, an optometrist and the project’s head for blissful sight for kids stressed the need of screening and urged people to go to the clinic annually because certain illnesses don’t have outward symptoms.

Dr. Zakaria reported that four children had been identified as having serious refractive errors while claiming that students who had been identified as having refractive faults, conjunctivitis, or allergies were receiving the necessary prescriptions.

He further mentioned that Korlebu had been recommended for further treatment after one student was found to have Keratoconus.
