B.K Adama Multipurpose Youth Resource center 95% complete

Construction of the B.K Adama Multipurpose Youth Resource Center in the Wa Municipality of the Upper West Region is about 95 per cent complete and would be commissioned in the next few months.

With the exception of the fence wall which is almost completed, all the major works including the restaurant, pitch, tartan tracks, volleyball court, stands, long tennis court have been completed.

These came to light after the Regional Minister inspected progress of work on the project in readiness for the president’s visit to the facility.

Addressing the media, Dr Hafiz Bin Salih said it was highly possible for the project to be officially commissioned by the President for public usage.

The five thousand FIFA standard capacity will include eight-lane athletics track, basketball, volleyball, tennis Courts, ICT Centre, Entrepreneurship/ Counseling Centres, washrooms, and a modern restaurant.

The $1.8m facility was expected to be completed in nine months after the sod cutting.

The facility fulfills government’s bid to provide modern day sports infrastructure for the youth in a year.

The initiative is also aimed at providing sports infrastructure across the nation to ensure Ghana prepare more athletes with a double-edged mission of empowering the youth to win more medals for the country.
