In a significant development, the Agotime-Ziope and Adaklu Districts have confirmed their new District Chief Executives (DCEs). Alfred Klu Odikro and Jerry Yao Ameko were unanimously endorsed by the respective assemblies, marking a new chapter in the districts’ development journey.

Alfred Klu Odikro, the new DCE for Agotime-Ziope, received all 22 votes cast, securing a 100% endorsement. With his rich managerial experience as an entrepreneur and a strong educational background, holding an RSA Stage III certificate in accounting, Mr. Odikro is well-equipped to drive development in the district. His inaugural speech emphasized his commitment to working with stakeholders to address the district’s development needs, aligning with the Mahama government’s vision and reset agenda.

Jerry Yao Ameko, the new DCE for Adaklu, also secured a 100% endorsement with all 19 votes cast in his favor. This unanimous approval marks a significant milestone in Adaklu’s political history, as Mr. Ameko becomes the first nominee to secure confirmation on the first attempt since the district’s creation in 2012. With his Master’s degree in Leadership and Development, Mr. Ameko brings a wealth of experience as a professional teacher and politician. He has pledged to work closely with the Member of Parliament, Kwame Governs Agbodza, to address key development issues in health, education, and social infrastructure.

The confirmation of these two DCEs follows the earlier endorsement of Bless Kodjo Katamani as DCE for the Akatsi North District. As the new DCEs assume office, they are expected to play a crucial role in driving development and improving the lives of residents in their respective districts.
