In a remarkable tale of perseverance and determination, 29-year-old Issahaque Anas, a native of Wa, has defied the odds to achieve academic excellence, graduating with first-class honours in BSc Real Estate from the Simon Diedong Dombo University of Business and Integrated Development Studies (UBIDS) with an outstanding CGPA of 4.68. This milestone marks his second first-class honours degree, having previously graduated with top honours in Estate Management from Wa Polytechnic in 2018.

Issahaque Anas’ journey to success was far from smooth. After completing his National Service in 2019, he faced significant challenges securing a government job, a dream for many graduates in Ghana. Undeterred by the setback, he took up work as a loading boy at the Wa New Market to make ends meet. “It wasn’t easy,” Anas recalls. “But I knew that hard work and faith would lead me to better opportunities.”

His academic journey began at Nuriya Islamic School, where he completed his primary education. He then attended Jujeidayiri Junior High School from 2009 to 2011, followed by Wa Islamic Senior High School from 2011 to 2014. His pursuit of higher education led him to Wa Polytechnic, where he earned a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Estate Management in 2018, graduating with first-class honours.

Despite his academic achievements, the lack of job opportunities pushed Anas to remain resilient. In 2022, he enrolled at UBIDS to pursue a BSc in Real Estate, determined to further his education and improve his prospects. His dedication paid off this year when he graduated at the top of his class, earning another first-class honours degree with an impressive CGPA of 4.68.

“Allah has been so wonderful to me,” Anas said during an interview. “This achievement is a testament to hard work, faith, and the support of my family and community.”

As Anas looks to the future, he hopes to secure a role in the real estate sector, where he can apply his expertise to contribute to Ghana’s development. His story serves as a beacon of hope for young Ghanaians, proving that with resilience and faith, no obstacle is too big to overcome.

For now, the people of Wa celebrate their hometown hero, Issahaque Anas, whose journey from a loading boy to a double first-class honours graduate is nothing short of extraordinary.
