The Member of Parliament (MP) for Daffiama Bussie Issa (DBI), Dr. Sebastian Sandaare, has lauded the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. James Wor, for his commitment to staying in his bungalow in Issa, the district capital. He made this statement on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, on Home Radio’s Sunrise Super Morning Show during an exclusive interview on his thank-you tour in the district.
The lawmaker commended the DCE, Mr. James Wor, for his loyalty and good leadership in making himself available to constituents by staying in the DCE’s official residence (bungalow) at Issa. He added that this kind of good leadership—staying in the district with the people—will help reduce costs as far as transportation is concerned.
He noted that some DCEs and government officials have refused to stay in their official bungalows, instead staying elsewhere while commuting from a distance to work using state resources. Some, according to him, have even locked up these bungalows instead of releasing them to workers who struggle to get accommodation.
This attitude by government appointees and workers is a worrying phenomenon which is not helping the development of the various communities within the districts and the nation as a whole.
Dr. Sandaare used the opportunity to urge all DCEs in the region and beyond to emulate such exemplary leadership by Hon. James Wor by staying in their bungalows to support the government’s developmental agenda.
