The Wa Municipal branch of the Ghana National Association of Private Schools (GNAPS) has organized a super mock exam for final-year students as part of the launch of Private Schools Week celebrations, aimed at preparing them for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in March.
Private schools across the country annually celebrate a week-long Private Schools Week. This year, for the first time, the Wa Municipal branch of GNAPS launched the week with a super mock exam for all final-year students in private schools across Wa Municipality.
“The mock exam is part of our efforts to ensure our students are well-prepared for the main exams,” said Mumuni Sulemana, Wa Municipal Chairperson of GNAPS. “We urge other schools to emulate our example in preparing students for the main exams.”
The Wa Municipal Education Examination Officer, Saaka K. Amadu, lauded the initiative, stating it would help students gain confidence and perform better in the BECE.
Students who participated in the mock exam expressed happiness, noting it prepared them for their main exams. “The mock exam was helpful, it helped me know my strengths and weaknesses,” said Batogbee Ethlia, a student. “It has prepared me for the main exams,” added Mohammed Ubaidullah, another student.
