The Rotary Club of Wa is actively seeking both financial contributions and strategic donor partnerships to bring its series of impactful legacy projects to fruition. This endeavor primarily focuses on the ultra-modern kitchen for the Wa Methodist School for the Blind, alongside other significant initiatives currently underway. To ensure the successful realization of these commitments, the club is mobilizing support from its dedicated members and reaching out to key stakeholders across various sectors.
As the cornerstone of its 10-year anniversary celebration, this kitchen project demands substantial funding to equip the school with state-of-the-art cooking facilities for its students. Beyond this, the club consistently pursues grants and collaborations with international partners to bolster critical water, sanitation, hygiene (WASH) programs and enhance educational infrastructure throughout the Upper West Region.
A Rotary club functions as a local chapter within Rotary International, a vast global network of dedicated volunteers, known as Rotarians, committed to humanitarian service, ethical leadership, and fostering world peace. This esteemed organization unites business, professional, and community leaders to collaboratively address pressing global challenges such as disease eradication, poverty alleviation, and environmental sustainability. Founded in Chicago in 1905, notary’s name originates from its early tradition of rotating meetings among members’ diverse places of business. Its enduring guiding principle, “Service Above Self,”embodies a profound commitment to enriching local communities and fostering global goodwill.
These details were unveiled on Saturday, July 27, 2026, at the Nuoyong Empire Hotel, marking the culmination of the club’s 10-year anniversary celebrations and the ceremonial handover of leadership to its newly elected officials, including the incoming club president.
