Some aggrieved members of the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) in the Upper West region have given a two-week ultimatum to their leadership and K. Zorre Properties, a private estate developer, to resolve issues related to land documentation and ownership. Over 50 nurses, including those from the region and beyond, purchased plots in the Nurses Court but are facing challenges with the documentation process.
The affected nurses expressed their frustrations and displeasure at a press conference held on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the GRNMA Guest House in Wa Metropolis. According to them, despite writing several letters to the leadership, both regional and national executives, their grievances have fallen on deaf ears.
The nurses have appealed to all stakeholders to work on the issue immediately to avoid further action after the two-week deadline expires. They described the handling of the case by the GRNMA leadership in Upper West and K. Zorre Properties Ltd as disappointing and a failure to protect its members.
The group has also called on some leaders threatening certain individuals with bad words to desist from such behavior, warning that legal action will be taken against such ungrateful leaders. All efforts to get the leadership of the Upper West GRNMA and K. Zorre Properties Ltd to respond to the issue have proven unsuccessful.
