Prof. Damasus Tuurosong, President of the Ghana National Association of Private Schools (GNAPS), has been recognized for his outstanding leadership in the education sector. He was awarded the Most Respected CEO of the Year in the Educational Advocacy and Private Schools Development category at the 8th Ghana Industry CEO Awards.

The prestigious awards ceremony, held at the Accra International Conference Centre, brought together high-profile dignitaries, including the Country Director of the World Health Organization and the Deputy Country Director of the United Nations Development Programme, as well as over 15 diplomats comprising ambassadors and high commissioners. Prof. Tuurosong’s award is a testament to his exemplary leadership of the non-state education sector and his role in positioning GNAPS as a thought leader in promoting educational quality, expanding access, and influencing favourable policies for private schools in Ghana.

Through his leadership, GNAPS has continued to advocate for the rights and interests of private school owners, promoting quality education and accessibility for all Ghanaian children. The association’s efforts have been instrumental in shaping the education landscape in Ghana, and Prof. Tuurosong’s recognition is a reflection of his dedication to improving education outcomes for all.
